Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 1 clove minced garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
  • 1 large onion chopped.
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth.
  • 3 large potatoes cubed.
  • 4 medium carrots sliced.
  • 1 cup sliced celery.

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a bag. Add beef chunks and shake well.
  • Heat oil in your large pot. Brown the beef on all sides.
  • Stir in broth, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the liquid to a boil.
  • Cover the pot tightly. Lower the heat. Simmer for about 90 minutes.
  • Put in potatoes, carrots, and celery. Cover and cook 30 more minutes.
  • Check if vegetables are tender. Stir well before serving hot.

  • Cut meat into equal sizes.
  • Do not crowd the pan when browning.
  • Use Yukon Gold potatoes for best texture.
  • Add a splash of red wine for depth.
