Chef’s Knife
- 1 lb GROUND BEEF
- 1/2 lb GROUND PORK
- 1/2 cup BREADCRUMBS
- 1 large EGG
- 2 cloves GARLIC
- 1/4 cup PARMESAN CHEESE
- 2 tbsp FRESH PARSLEY
- 20 pieces MOZZARELLA PEARLS
- 2 cups MARINARA SAUCE
- 1 tsp SALT
- 1/2 tsp BLACK PEPPER
Mix the beef and pork in a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs and the egg now. Put in your garlic and fresh herbs. Use your hands to mix it gently. Do not overwork the meat.
Scoop a small amount of meat. Flatten it into a small circle. Place one mozzarella pearl in the middle.
Fold the meat over the cheese. Roll it into a smooth ball. Ensure no cheese is showing. This prevents the cheese from leaking out.
Place each ball on the baking sheet. Space them out about one inch. This lets the hot air circulate.
Put the tray in the hot oven. Bake them until they are brown. This usually takes about twenty minutes.
Warm your marinara sauce in a pan. Toss the cooked meatballs in the sauce. Serve them while the cheese is melty.
- Use cold meat for easier rolling.
- Wet your hands to stop sticking.
- Seal the meat tightly around the cheese.
- Do not overcook the meatballs today.
- Use high-quality cheese for better pulls.
- Let them rest for five minutes.
- Check the internal temp with a probe.
- Chop the parsley very finely now.
