Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking Dish
  • Hand mixer
  • Measuring cups
  • Rubber spatula
  • Slow Cooker
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 cans 12.5 oz chicken breast
  • 2 packages 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup ranch salad dressing
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions

Instructions

Heat the Oven

  • First, turn your oven to 350 degrees. Let it get nice and hot. This ensures the dip cooks evenly.

Prep the Cream Cheese

  • Put the cream cheese in a big bowl. Make sure it is very soft first. Use your mixer to make it smooth. This prevents lumps in your dip.

Add the Sauces

  • Pour in the buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. Stir them into the cream cheese well. The color should be a light orange.

Mix the Chicken

  • Drain the water from your canned chicken. Add the meat to the bowl now. Break it into small pieces with a fork. Mix it until every piece is coated.

Add the First Cheese

  • Stir in half of your shredded cheese. This makes the inside very gooey. Use a spatula to fold it in.

Fill the Dish

  • Grease your baking dish with some oil. Spread the chicken mix into the dish. Make the top flat and even.

Top with More Cheese

  • Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top. Use a lot for a thick crust. It will brown nicely in the oven.

Bake the Dip

  • Place the dish in the hot oven. Bake it for about twenty minutes. The edges should be bubbling and hot.

Garnish and Serve

  • Take the dish out of the oven. Sprinkle fresh green onions on top. Serve it while it is still warm.

-> Whisk the ranch and buffalo sauce together first.
-> Double the recipe for a very large party.
-> Blot the chicken dry before adding it in.
-> Let the dip rest for five minutes before serving.
