Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded.
  • 6 cups chicken broth low sodium.
  • 2 cups wide egg noodles.
  • 1 cup sliced carrots.
  • 1 cup chopped celery.
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 1 tablespoon butter.

Instructions
 

Sauté the Vegetables

  • Melt butter in your large pot. Add onions, carrots, and celery. Cook until they are soft.

Add the Broth

  • Pour all the chicken broth into the pot. Add your salt, pepper, and parsley.

Boil the Soup

  • Turn the heat to high. Wait for the liquid to boil. This blends all the flavors together.

Cook the Noodles

  • Add the wide egg noodles now. Cook them for about eight minutes. They should be soft.

Mix in Chicken

  • Add the shredded chicken to the pot. Stir it well and heat through. Your soup is now ready!

Notes

  • Use a rotisserie chicken for extra flavor.
  • Do not overcook the egg noodles.
  • Add more broth if it gets too thick.
  • Fresh parsley makes the soup look pretty.
  • Let the soup sit for five minutes.
