Ingredients

  • 2 cans 15 oz each whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can 15 oz creamed corn
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

Preheat Your Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your baking dish.

Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, milk, and melted butter.

Add Dry Ingredients

  • Stir in the sugar, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

Combine with Corn

  • Add both the drained whole kernel corn and the creamed corn. Stir gently. Make sure everything is combined.

Pour and Bake

  • Pour the mixture into your prepared dish. Bake for 45-55 minutes. It should be golden brown. The center should be set.

Let it Rest

  • Remove from oven. Let it cool for a few minutes. This helps it set.

Notes

  • Use fresh corn when in season. It adds great flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter. This keeps it light.
  • Cover with foil if browning too fast.
  • A sprinkle of cheese is a nice touch. Try cheddar!
  • Serve warm for best taste.
